Waiting for the Shaking (Haggai 2:10-23)

📖 Introduction

Today, we’re finishing the book of Haggai. The big idea is about waiting—waiting for God to do something incredible. God promises to shake the heavens and the earth and set things right. But until then, what do we do while we wait? ⏳🌍

✨ God’s Promise: A Future Shaking

God told the people through Haggai that He would one day shake the heavens and the earth. This meant He was going to bring about a big change, something that would set everything right again. It’s a reminder that Jesus is coming again, and that day will change everything. But what do we do until then? 🙏

📌 Key Points:

  1. Faithfulness While We Wait

God calls us to be faithful while we wait. This means continuing to trust Him, continuing to do what He’s called us to do, even if we don’t see the results right away.

  1. Dealing with Sin and Walking in Holiness ✨🚶‍♂️

God talked to the priests about holiness, reminding them that just going through religious motions isn’t enough. Holiness is about the heart—it’s about being made clean by God and living in a way that honors Him.

🔍 Reflection Questions:

  • How are you waiting for God to fulfill His promises in your life?

  • Are there any areas where you need to be more faithful while you wait?

✏️ Takeaway:

Waiting can be hard, but God calls us to be faithful while we wait for His promises to come true. Let’s commit to being faithful and walking in His ways, knowing that He will shake the heavens and earth in His time. ⏳✨
