Hearts Stirred by the Word and the Spirit (Haggai 1:12-15)

đź“– Introduction

This week, we’re focusing on what it means to have a heart stirred by God’s Word and Spirit. In Haggai’s time, the people heard God’s message and, this time, they actually listened and obeyed! 🙌

💡 Listening to God’s Voice

Often, God’s Word comes to us, but we might ignore it, get distracted, or feel overwhelmed. In Haggai’s story, something amazing happens—the people obeyed what God said! This obedience showed that their hearts were moved by God’s message. 📜💛

đź“Ś Key Points:

  1. God’s Word Isn’t Just Words 📖✨

The Bible isn’t just a book—it’s God’s way of speaking to us. It’s powerful, alive, and meant to change us. When God speaks, His presence is with us. When we gather to read Scripture, we should expect something real to happen.

  1. Obedience Starts in the Heart ❤️

It’s not about checking off boxes or being religious—it’s about letting God’s Word touch our hearts so deeply that we respond with obedience.

🔍 Reflection Questions:

  • How do you usually respond when you read the Bible? Is it just words, or do you let it change you?

  • Can you think of a time when God’s Word really moved you to action?

✏️ Takeaway:

God wants more than just our attention—He wants our hearts. When we let His Word speak to us, it has the power to stir us and bring us closer to Him. Let’s be open today to whatever God wants to say to us through His Word. 🙏📖
